You can use the Liver Flush Herbal Tea, which forms part of the Liver Flush detox programme to help you detox and cleanse your mind and body. In this article, we will look at how to prepare both the Live Flush detox drink and herbal tea.
What Is A Detox?
The true purpose of detox or a fast is to rest and cleanse your body and mind of the build up of toxins which accumulate in your body; which then brings a sense of balance and harmony to your system. Although the body has a marvellous inbuilt ability to cleanse and remove toxins from the organs, the pace of modern-day life and our diets makes it harder for the body to release the harmful environmental toxins as well as bacteria and parasites stored in the body organs and fat tissues.
When you detox, you give your body a chance to rest, cleanse and rejuvenate as you take a step back from your usual eating habits.
What is the Liver Flush Drink
This detox drink is simply a mixture of everyday ingredients – ranging from ginger, olive oil, garlic, grapefruits, apples and lemons, blended together and drank first thing in the morning, followed by the Liver Flush Herbal Tea.
What Does The Liver Flush Do?
The purpose of this detox drink is to help flush waste out of the system and stimulate and lubricate the digestive organs. It is an alkaline diet designed for elimination and internal cleansing.
Ideally, you want to use the herbal drink as part of a 1-7 days cleanse and detox programme.
As you know, your lymphatic and circulatory system, as well as your liver, kidneys and bowels help to reduce the build up of toxins and bacteria which accumulate in the body. The best time to take the Liver Flush drink is first thing in the morning as it helps to cleanse and flush out the system.
What Ingredients Do You Need For The Liver Flush
There are various versions of this herbal detox drink:
The Basic Liver Flush
As far as I’m concerned this is gross and takes some getting used to! For this you need
1-5 Tbsp. Cold-pressed virgin olive oil
3 times as much lime or lemon juice
Simply stir or blend these ingredients and swallow! Follow it with two cups of warm water mixed with the juice of one lime or lemon or the Liver Flush Herbal Tea (see below).
A more palatable version consists of:
Juice of 2-3 oranges or grapefruit
4-6 tablespoons of lemon or lime juice
2-3 tablespoons of cold-pressed olive oil or sesame oil
1-3 cloves of crushed garlic (optional)
Blend, stir, mix and drink…follow this flush by drinking warm water mixed with the juice of one lemon or the Herbal Detox Tea (see below).
Tasty Liver Flush
If you are feeling this is still too bland, for an even tastier version, try this tastier version.
2 oz Orange juice
2 oz Grapefruit juice
2 oz Pineapple juice 1-5 Tbsp. Olive oil.
Stir, mix or blend and drink. Follow this with two cups of hot water and the juice of one lemon or the Herbal Detox Tea (see below)
Whether you drink the basic detox drink or the more tasty version using pineapples, grapefruits or orange, follow the detox drink using the Herbal tea (see below) or a cup of hot water and juice of a lemon or lime.
Liver Flush Herbal Tea
This herbal tea consists of a variety of herbs which help to cleanse, strength and repair your body.
Boil three cups of hot water and add 2-5 slices of thinly sliced fresh ginger root. Boil for several minutes then add, 1 tsp of liquorice root, 1 tsp fennel seed, 1 tsp fenugreek seeds and 1 tsp peppermint leaves.
Let this seep for five minutes and sip slowly after taking your liver flush detox drink. You can use the herbal tea throughout the day instead of your usual cup of tea.
Both the Liver Flush Drink and Herbal Tea are ideal techniques to help you to detoxifying the liver from alcohol. They take a little getting used to, but well worth trying. Give it a go and I’d be delighted to hear what differences you notice using the herbal Tea as part of your detox programme.
